Booking system for gardening companies — season, queue and RUT on the right lines

Everyone wants the same two weeks in May. Buzzlink opens and closes services by season, admits only as many jobs as you can do, and calculates RUT for you.

RUT 50%of the labour costCeiling SEK 75,000 per person per year, of which at most SEK 50,000 ROT

You will recognise this

  • Everyone calls the same week in May, and in November nobody calls at all.
  • Snow clearing that can still be booked in June, because someone forgot to close the service.
  • Customers who think the whole quote for the new patio gives fifty per cent back.

Prepared from the start

The services below arrive with durations, prices and the right deduction the moment you pick the trade. All of it can be changed.

Services included

  • Gräsklippning
  • Häckklippning
  • Vårstädning
  • Snöskottning
  • Lawn mowing, hedge trimming, spring clearing and snow clearing are seeded with season windows, so a service disappears by itself when it cannot be carried out.
  • Caps on the number of jobs per day and per area, so May does not sell out over one weekend.
  • Maintenance is set up with RUT, new landscaping with no deduction and groundwork for utilities with ROT — the lines are kept apart in the booking, not afterwards.

Labour only — never material, travel or equipment hire

Maintenance earns RUT. Landscaping earns nothing — except where the ground serves the house.

Skatteverket distinguishes between looking after a garden and building one. Mowing, hedge trimming, weeding, pruning and snow clearing are household work and give 50 per cent RUT on the labour. Laying a new lawn, setting paving, asphalting or building a wall is landscaping and gives nothing. But there is a second boundary firms miss in the costly direction: groundwork that supplies the home with drainage, water, electricity, heating or fibre qualifies for ROT at 30 per cent. Draining a foundation or laying an infiltration bed is deductible even though it is digging in the garden. And topping up soil and sowing grass to restore ground after trees or bushes have been removed gives RUT, unlike laying a new lawn.

The calculator

Run it on a real job

RUT-avdrag is 50% of the labour cost. Move the sliders and you see the same figure the customer sees before booking — including what happens when the ceiling runs out.

Pick Household work in the calculator below. That is the button that computes RUT-avdrag.

Questions

Common questions about a booking system for trädgård

Can't find the answer? Get in touch and we'll sort it out.

Does snow clearing qualify for RUT?

Yes, clearing snow at the home is household work and gives 50 per cent of the labour cost. If you hire in a machine or charge for the call-out, those lines fall outside the deduction.

Where is the line against landscaping?

Maintenance qualifies for RUT, new landscaping does not — mowing, weeding and pruning against a new lawn, paving, walls and newly planted beds. But do not take that too far: groundwork that supplies the home with drainage, water, electricity, heating or fibre qualifies for ROT at 30 per cent, so foundation drainage and infiltration beds are deductible. And restoring ground with soil and grass after trees or bushes have been removed gives RUT, unlike laying a new lawn.

The customer wants hedge trimming and a new patio in the same quote.

Two lines, two prices, one deduction. The hedge trimming is shown after RUT, the patio at full price. Buzzlink calculates per line, so the customer sees both figures before booking rather than when the invoice arrives.

Do the plants qualify if I am the one planting them?

No. Materials never qualify — not plants, soil, stone or fertiliser. Only the labour, and only when the work itself counts as household work.

The customer says the deduction was 50 per cent last year. Is that right?

For RUT it is unchanged: 50 per cent of the labour cost. What changed was ROT, which is 30 per cent in 2026 after the temporary rise to 50 per cent that ran from 12 May to 31 December 2025. Garden maintenance is RUT and is not affected, but customers often mix the two up.

How do I handle May without promising slots I do not have?

With a cap per day and a visible queue. The customer sees the next available time instead of a promise that you will call back — and someone who can book 14 May on the spot has no reason to call anyone else.
