The call-out charge is the line that must not be halved
On a job worth seven hundred kronor the journey there is a large part of the bill, and that is precisely the part that gives no deduction. RUT covers the labour cost — not call-out charges, mileage, or the hire of a lift. Bake the call-out into your hourly rate and the booking looks cheaper than it turns out to be, and you deduct 50 per cent from money Skatteverket will never pay back. Keep the lines apart, and the price the customer sees matches the invoice.

How much does window cleaning give in deduction?
50 per cent of the labour cost. On a home, essentially the whole price is labour, as long as the call-out charge and any equipment or lift hire sit on their own lines.
Do offices and shops get RUT?
No. The deduction is a private individual's tax reduction, so a business customer pays full price. If you have both houses and offices in your price list, the deduction must be set per service — otherwise the booking shows a price you cannot honour.
Does window cleaning at a holiday home qualify?
Yes, a holiday home the customer uses themselves counts as a home. What falls outside is property run as a rental business — then it is no longer the customer's own household work.
The customer has several small jobs a year — is the ceiling per job?
No, per person per year. 75 000 kr is shared between RUT and ROT together, of which at most 50 000 kr may be ROT. A few cleans a year rarely reach it, but a renovation in the same household may already have done so — and if your request is rejected, it is you who has to collect the difference.
Can I rebook a whole day when it rains?
Yes. You move the day in one go and every customer gets a proposed new time they accept with one click. Nobody has to make twelve phone calls, and no slot sits empty for nothing.
